The Pont Neuf pedestrian bridge in Paris is well known for the many locks that adorn it. Couples who are vacationing in the area have taken to placing a padlock with their names in the fence and throwing the lock in the river as a sign of connection. Recently, Adam Scott and Amy Poehler traveled to Paris to film the 100th episode of Parks and Recreation. They put a padlock on the bridge with their character names, Ben and Leslie. Tumblr user i-wish-i-had-gills recently went to the bridge to see the padlock only to find that it was gone! She posted about her disappointment. “Someone has clearly snipped off the metal fence to slide the lock off. I was super mad and super sad all at once. Whoever you are, super hardcore Parks fan, you kinda suck.” Series co-creator Mark Schur found the story and tweeted, “Someone stole the Leslie and Ben lock from the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris. That stinks. Please bring it back?” While actor Adam Scott Simply stated, “This is shitty.” Whoever you are, mystery Parks fan, please bring the lock back so other fans can have their moment of joy.
