Celebrities’ responses to mistakes in the media, whether they are frustrated or silly, reflect their character. It comes as no surprise that actor Patrick Stewart jokingly tweeted a response to The Guardian’s citing that he is gay.
The false statement comes from the U.K. paper’s recent story regarding Juno actress Ellen Page’s coming out to the media.

The Guardian released the following explanation for their mistake:
“This article was amended on 17 February 2014. The third paragraph originally said ‘Some gay people, such as Sir Patrick Stewart, think Page’s coming out speech is newsworthy’. This should have read ‘Some people, such as Sir Patrick Stewart, think Page’s coming out speech is newsworthy.’”
Stewart took the mishap lightly and saw the humorous side of it, tweeting:
Well, @guardian it makes for a nice change…at least I didn't wake up to the internet telling me I was dead again.
