Paula Deen is back, y'all! After her career was shattered over something she did thirty years ago, Paula Deen Ventures is going to bring the bright-eyed southern chef back into our lives. Najafi Companies, a private investment firm in Phoenix, Arizona, has given Paula Deen Ventures $75-$100 million dollars. Their website quotes, "As a firm, we pride ourselves in making quick decisions regarding investment proposals. We are decisive when evaluating investments, and when we choose to make an investment, we are typically able to proceed without a financing contingency." Some may say this is too soon for a comeback, but Paula's fans are as steady as ever. Pre-Sales for Deen's book, New Testament, skyrocketed to 1300% on Amazon after her scandal broke out before Ballantine Books decided to cancel it. Her avid readers on her blog and Facebook know that Miss Deen hasn't stopped handing out recipes, stories, and smiles. Her latest blog post titled, "Life Is Like... Well, You Know" with a how-to make your own box of chocolate, shows her humor and cooking will never cease. Paula writes, "With Valentine’s Day less than a week away, y’all might be feelin’ pressure to come up with some big romantic gesture for someone you love.  And while it’s too late and too expensive to book a trip to Bali or hire Barry Manilow to make a house call, it’s never too late to show someone how much you love and appreciate them by giving ‘em something homemade from the heart.  It doesn’t need to be a big production; sometimes the simplest gestures are the sweetest ones." She has yet to make a statement about her newest ventures. It isn't clear how Paula Deen will capture audiences, be it through a book, TV show, or other outlet. However, it is safe to say that you should buy stock in Country Crock again.
