We hope you have your bulletproof shields handy, because Marvel’s Agent Carter has got some new showrunners!

Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas, the creators behind Reaper, will write and produce future episodes for the Marvel show.

Agent Carter is based off of a one-shot short from Marvel’s Iron Man 3 Blu-ray. It will follow the budding SHIELD career of Captain America’s late girlfriend, Peggy Carter.

So if you were hoping to get more female badassery, you won’t have to wait much longer!

Hayley Atwell played Carter alongside Chris Evans’ Captain America on the big screen, and will be turning back the clock to reprise her role for the television show. This new project, Atwell claims, will allow her to “show different sides of Peggy.”

“Although she’s kick-ass, and she can be aggressive and she can be just as competent as the men, it’d be nice to show that she’s a feminist in a way,” said the English actress.

“It’s not just about her being aggressive… but being able to be a little bit more rounded as a person.”

ABC is also vying for the showrunners’ attention with their new show Resurrection. This supernatural drama will air in the near future, with Omar Epps (House) among the cast.
