Pentatonix Gives 'Joy To The World' A Bright New Twist | Pentatonix

World famous a cappella experts Pentatonix are feeling pretty festive today! We're a little more than a month away from Christmas, but that hasn't stopped Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Malonado, Avi Kaplan, and Kevin Olusola from putting their own a cappella spin on the holiday classic carol "Joy To the World."

Pentatonix has recently released their cover of "Joy To the World" as the lead single for the re-release of their 2014 holiday album That's Christmas To Me. The re-release packages the previous album with a collection of bonus tracks, bringing even more good cheer to the merriest of seasons. "Joy To the World" is the first new track on the album, and it is a joyful ode that showcases all of the group's many talents.

The group's vocal arrangement of "Joy To the World" puts each artist in the center of the group for a moment to shine solo.  True to form, the harmonies are even more impressive than their solo parts, and their arrangement lifts the already festive anthem up a few notches!

The accompanying music video is a simple affair for the bright track. In the visual the "Can't Sleep Love" musicians take over a gorgeous chapel and perform the single in front of the altar. A series of cuts between the various artists adds some interest to the cinematography; however, the focus remains fully on the exceptional vocal performance. It's just that damn good...

Whew! One listen to this, and I think my Christmas Spirit is amped all the way up. It's time to put the Christmas tree up, and start buying gifts for family and friends - as long as I can keep playing Pentatonix through it all!
