Actress Naomi Grossman, who played patient, Pepper, is returning for the 4th installment as the same character. Entertainment Weekly recently released a brand new image featuring Grossman holding newest cast member Jyoti Amge, who is the world’s smallest woman.
Ryan Murphy revealed that Jessica Lange’s character, Elsa Mars has been going around the country to hospitals and jails, rescuing these “freaks” from being shipped to insane asylums. Seeing as the “Freak Show” season is taking place 12 years before the events of “Asylum”, this will show what happened to Pepper leading up to her being admitted into Briarcliff.
This also happens to be the first time a character from a previous season has appeared in another installment, which Murphy called a long decision.
