Peter Lake Unveils His Latest EP ‘Red’

“…I think it’s extremely important to live without boundaries; I take the same approach in creating a project like Red.”

Peter Lake is an ambitious man. Not content with working on just one EP, over the last several months he’s written and recorded three. The first, ‘Yellow’, has already amassed more than a million streams on Spotify and 97K views on YouTube, and today, PopWrapped are delighted to premiere the second, titled ‘Red.’

Peter says of this new collection: “A part of a trilogy EP project, Red is my 2nd musical release this year. The significance of the color titles help listeners understand the power of blending. The first release, Yellow, this current EP, Red and the upcoming project Blue; the combination of all 3 colors have the capabilities to can create any color. I’ve always been fascinated with the concept, blending without conforming. As an artist I think it’s extremely important to live without boundaries; I take the same approach in creating a project like Red.”

The 3 track EP, which focuses on doing what’s right, humankind and ‘love thy neigbor’, includes his latest single “Whistle”, the video for which was directed by film-maker Christopher Soto and choreographed by Matthew Pasterisa who has worked with the likes of Kanye West and Azealia Banks. The video sees young men and women of color and ethnicities dancing together among crowded sidewalks and art sculptures. Soto says of the idea behind it: “We came up with a dance visual where the choreography could represent some of the lyrics. The different ethnicities of the dancers also represent that anyone in the world can relate to it.”
