Disney Pixar is beginning the development of animated film, The Good Dinosaur. After looking for a director to replace Bob Peterson for a while now, the man to do the job has finally been picked and it’s Peter Sohn.
After Peterson walked away from the project, The Good Dinosaur‘s release date was pushed back from 2014 to 2015. Peter Sohn was previously working as co-director on the film, but is now the principal director. It’s not the first time he gets involved with a major project for the company, as he has previously worked on Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and Ratatouille.
The Good Dinosaur will take place in a world where dinosaurs have not become extinct and co-exist with human beings. Even though no further details regarding the plot have been made public, it’s known that Lucas Neff, John Lithgow, Frances McDormand, Bill Hader and Neil Patrick Harris will lend their voices to the characters.
The Good Dinosaur will arrive in theaters on November 25, 2015 in the US and November 27, 2015 in the UK.
