"Hello, this is Michelle Duggar. I’m calling to inform you of some shocking news that would affect the safety of Northwest Arkansas women and children. The Fayetteville City Council is voting on an ordinance this Tuesday night that would allow men – yes I said men – to use women's and girls restrooms, locker rooms, showers, sleeping areas and other areas that are designated for females only. I don’t believe the citizens of Fayetteville would want males with past child predator convictions that claim they are female to have a legal right to enter private areas that are reserved for women and girls."According to Wissick, the Duggars have also contributed thousands of dollars to a campaign striving to repeal a law that protects individuals from being fired by employers or evicted by landlords due to any issue related to identifying as LGBT. Wissick also points out that adult son Josh Duggar has recently been given a high-ranking position at on organization called The Family Research Council, a group designated as a hate group in 2010 by the Southern Poverty Law Center for its “dissemination of false and demonizing propaganda about gays and lesbians.” The Duggars have also recently made the news for deleting a photo and banning the user after a gay man posted a photo of himself and his husband on The Duggars' Facebook page. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar had asked for other photos of "happily married couples" after posting a photo of themselves kissing. It looks like Wissick is not alone in wanting the family to no longer have a televised platform for their narrow-minded and hate-filled lifestyle. After a recent spike following a flurry of media attention in the past few days, the petition is now at over 143,000 signatures. As for myself, I've always found Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar disturbing due to the lack of concern they seem to have over the environmental impact nineteen extra lives will have on the Earth they believe God so lovingly created for us. Now that I know how egregiously anti-LGBT rights they are as well, I find them truly repugnant. It's also strange to me that the Duggars want the right to live as they see fit, but they work so hard in denying that same right to others. How do you feel about The Duggars, PopWrappers?
