The NYPD have located two journals from Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s Manhattan apartment where his body was found during an investigation. Hoffman passed away on February 2nd, when the respected Oscar winning actor was allegedly found with multiple bags of heroin and a needle still in his arm, according to police sources. Hoffman, who was 46, lives on through his longtime girlfriend, three young children, and numerous friends who gathered to grieve for the actor in a private service with others close to him. ABC news reported that according to sources that have seen the diaries, there was no explicit mention of drug usage, nor did the actor mention any suicidal thoughts, but the diaries are said to give a glimpse into Hoffman’s inner struggles and thoughts on addiction. ABC news also said that “some entries were legible, others less so”, and, according to one person, contained “disassociated ramblings or a creative exercise”. A recent update on the diaries has also suggested that Hoffman was struggling with guilt after finding himself in a love triangle, the Telegraph newspaper reports. Hoffman had allegedly written of being torn between his long time girlfriend, Mimi O'Donnell, and a recent love interest, whose identity is currently unknown. Investigators have since returned any of Hoffman’s belongings to his family.
