Following his sad death, friends and co-workers continue to send their messages of sadness and condolences towards Philip Seymour Hoffman.
One of the biggest mysteries regarding his death is how the cast and crew of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will deal with their beloved co-star's death, as he still had some vital scenes to shoot.
Lionsgate released the following statement
: "Philip Seymour Hoffman was a singular talent and one of the most gifted actors of our generation. We’re very fortunate that he graced our Hunger Games
family. Losing him in his prime is a tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Philip’s family.”
Hoffman still had seven days of shooting left on the final film, but his death will not push production back, as it has been reported that his unfilmed scenes will be shot using CGI technology.
Rob Legato, a CGI artist and supervisor, said: "'These days the technology of using someone’s likeness is a whole lot easier to do. I won’t say you could generate a Philip Seymour Hoffman with all the acting ability, but you could certainly replicate him for a shot or two."
She said: "I'm still processing it, I really am in shock."
She added: "He is an absolutely amazing actor, respected by everyone and part of our family at The Hunger Games, We will miss him terribly, and obviously, [we're] really upset for his children and his partner."
Mockingjay Part 1 is set to be released later this year on November 21st, and Mockingjay Part 2 is scheduled to be released on 20 November 2015.
