Courtesy of YouTubeThe ALS ice bucket challenge is the latest trend across social media. What’s great about it, though, is the fact that it’s all for a good cause.
The challenge began with Peter Frates, diagnosed in 2012. His family and friends wanted to bring more awareness to the disease that has left him unable to walk, speak or feed himself. There is no known cause or cure.
More and more celebrities are being nominated and accepting those nominations on a daily basis, which has helped to raise millions for ALS research.
If you’re unsure of the rules, generally you’re supposed to pour a bucket of ice water over your head when challenged (and record it/post to the internet as proof), as well as donating money to ALS research. Then you can challenge your own family and friends. They have 24 hours to either bite the bullet and douse themselves, or donate at least $100 to a charity of your choice.
However, there are several versions of these rules going around. The number one most important is that you NEED to donate. Even a dollar makes a difference.
We here at PopWrapped have had a ball watching the videos as they’ve surfaced, and some of us have even participated (soon to be all of us).
Now, for your enjoyment as well as mine, here are our Pop 10 Picks (in no particular order):
1. The Vamps
The Vamps recruited girl group Fifth Harmony to join them in the shower (not like that) and hold buckets of ice water over their heads.
And—-bless their souls—-three out of four members opted not to wear shirts.
2. Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato just beats everyone at everything on a daily basis, so this was no exception.
One bucket? Ha. Try five.
Plus she drops some profanity, too. Why not?

Chris Pratt
The Guardians Of The Galaxy star thought he could change the rules and just chug some Smirnoff ice instead.
His female companions weren’t having it, though.
4. Tom Hiddleston
Honestly, how this man managed to make his challenge video look as though he were shooting an Armani commercial is beyond me.
But he did.
And it’s worthy of being watched repeatedly.
Bow down to Loki, people.
5. David Beckham
Nothing else needs to be said here other than: soaking wet David Beckham.

6. Tyler Posey
If you’re a fan of Tyler Posey, you should already know that he’s not exactly…normal.
So neither was his video. But that’s why we love him.
(Hashtag what is he doing).
7. Benedict Cumberbatch
All of the creativity points go to this man right here.
If you don’t laugh, I don’t know what’s wrong with you.

8. Oprah Winfrey

9. The New York Jets
How do you make sure that none of the football team chickens out?
Drench them with a fire hose.
