The new season of Glee has already created quite a buzz and it hasn’t even started filming yet! One of the biggest shake ups this season is the casting! With music superstar Adam Lambert joining the cast and many of last season’s newbies being promoted to regulars, we’re left wondering, “what other voids are there to fill in the cast?” Well season 2 contestant of The Glee Project Aylin Bayramoglu thinks she has something to offer season 5.
Here are 5 Reasons we agree:
1) Her Unique Story
A major part of who Aylin is is her Muslim heritage. She talked about it a lot on the show and thinks it would make a unique storyline and character for her. And she isn’t wrong. This past season there were many episodes that dealt with tough issues including eating disorders, school shootings and ‘catfishing.’ An episode (or arc) about a Muslim character, especially a female, would continue this trend on Glee and make Aylin stand out.
2) Her Vocals
This was one of her early performances of the competition and even it showed that Aylin can sing with emotion and depth as well as being soft and subtle. Amber even gave her the blessing to sing Adele! A big voice like hers at McKinley could be just what the doctor ordered!
3) She Redefines Beauty
When Glee premiered it was all about the underdogs and being unique. The ladies of the original glee club embodied, and continue to embody, that sentiment exactly. Lea, Amber, Naya and Jenna all represent a different look and culture and Aylin would be a perfect addition to the mix.
4) Ryan Murphy Called Her a Game Changer

5) Her Twitter Campaign
Last night Aylin launched the ‘# WeWantAylinOnSeason5
WeWantAylinOnSeason5' hashtag and campaign on Twitter encouraging her fans and supporters to trend the phrase and tweet it to the powers that be at Glee. A front runner for TGP, Aylin is the only one in the Top 3 of Season 2 who has yet to appear on the show. From what we can see, Ryan Murphy is looking for new girls, so why not bring on Aylin?
What do you think? Should Aylin be given her moment to shine? Who else would you want to see on season 5 of Glee?
