Rising rap duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis took to YouTube to deliver the news that they will be going on a nationwide tour in this fall.
The duo announced the news in Germany. They revealed that they will start the fall edition of their world tour in Portland, Oregon’s Rose Garden on October 22 and end in their hometown of Seattle, Washington’s Key Arena on December 12.
Throughout the three-minute and 34-second video, they traveled throughout the German streets trying out local delicacies including pretzels and hanging out across a German town square.
In addition, they also introduced stand-ins for their tour guests including Brooklyn native Talib Kweli and Mississippi rapper-producer Big K.R.I.T.
Both men are no strangers to the R&B/Hip-Hop/Rap industry as they have collaborated with Ludacris, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Chris Brown and T.I. respectively.
Macklemore and Ryan also announced that fans will be able to pre-purchase tickets tomorrow on the duo’s website, while general sales will begin this Friday.
Tour stops will include Tampa, Miami, Atlanta, Syracuse, Omaha, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco.
The Seattle-based duo have been riding on a high since the release of their sophomore studio album, The Heist, last October.
Both of their singles, “Can’t Hold Us” and “Thrift Shop”, had multiple successes their collaboration with Ray Dalton (“Can’t Hold Us”) spent the last 19 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Thrift Shop” has sold more than 6,000,000 singles and over 352,000,000 views on YouTube.
Currently, the duo’s world tour includes stops in Paris, London, Milan and Stockholm.
