According to the internet, the last weekend in August is all about Cosplay. International Cosplay Day kicks off this Saturday and encourages people from all over the world to don their best outfits and become their favourite characters for the day. So let's celebrate this momentous day here on Popwrapped. Who wants to wear muggle clothes, anyway?

First up is Ali as Doctor Ten with his trusty metal hound K9. There are lots of Doctor cosplayers but this shot makes my hearts melt.

Every time lord needs a tin dog to keep him company. The accuracy of the outfit blows my mind too.

Cosplay James

James is the coolest Joker around. His cartoonish grin and outfit is always on point and he has the sense of humour and manic wit to turn Batman cosplayers to jelly. And some Harley's too.

Scarlet siren

Scarlet siren is our obligatory femme fatale in the guise of Poison Ivy. A wonderful outfit and brilliant pose makes this look like it's straight out of a new TV show. Watch out Bats..

I love cosplayers who do something completely different, and this elderly Eleven from Matt Smith's final episode is perfect. Dom has plenty of DW costumes but this a personal favourite. Wonderful.

Quick's Cosplays

Quick's Cosplays is a legendary outlaw. Straight outta the Kyln, this costume is far too cool. The guns, the helmet, even the cheesy dance moves and mix tape.

The Cap

the Jedi

The couple that cosplays together, stays together, and these two have done plenty of amazing costumes, but these are personal favourites. The Cap adaptation is wonderfully done and the Jedi robes are nothing short of majestic.

Cosplay @SashDoesDoodles

My contribution this week comes courtesy of the wonderful folks at the Doctor Who Experience who were kind enough to take some snaps of me and my Ten during a recent trip there. Confusing the polarity has never been more fun.

Don't forget to check out the cosplayers featured and say hello and send me your cosplay pics and art work for future inclusion. Always on the look out for talented Popwrapped readers!
