On this day, 33 years ago, one of England’s finest actors was born and he goes by the name of Tom Hiddleston.
From the theatre to the small screen as well as the silver screen, Tom Hiddleston has left his mark everywhere especially the hearts of his thousands of adoring fans. So in honor of his birthday, we’ve decided to choose our Pop 5 reasons we love Tom Hiddleston and why you should too!
1.
His talent.

Inevitably, we would not even know who he was if it was not for his incredibly talented acting. The world fell in love with him when he portrayed Loki in Thor; But Hiddleston fans have been falling head over heels for him ever since. With roles in movies such as War Horse, Midnight In Paris, and The Avengers as well as his role in the BBC Two series Hollow Crown where the world first sees his love for Shakespeare. Off screen, Hiddleston has portrayed Cassio in Shakespeare’s Othello as well as his current portrayal of Coriolanus in Donmar Warehouses Coriolanus.

His enormous heart.

Anyone who follows Tom Hiddleston on Twitter or knows anything about him will tell you how incredibly involved he is with charity work. He is a huge partner with Unicef UK and even traveled to Africa to learn more about UNICEF’s work. While he was there, he posted a blog on their website documenting his time. You can tell by the blog how passionate he is about helping people. He also participated in the Live Below The Line campaign where participants live on less than £5 a day for five days to increase awareness about extreme poverty.

His love for his fans.

Unlike most stars, Tom Hiddleston seems to genuinely care about his fans. On Twitter, he often replies to fans and we have never heard of him turning down a photo or autograph. He once said, “Actors can’t call themselves actors without an audience to watch them, and the idea that you’re all out there and believing in the work I do is a source of enormous pride.” He seems genuinely grateful for his fans, which in turn, we are very grateful for.

Aside from his obvious incredibly attractive features, Tom Hiddleston definitely dresses to impress. He was voted GQ’s 2nd best dressed man in Britain behind Nick Grimshaw, but we still think he deserved first place. Plus, he looks good in anything. Any hair color, facial hair, glasses, hairstyle, you name it and he can pull it off.

His humor.

Finally, as we reach the end of our count, we couldn’t leave out his sense of humor! When he appeared on MTV’s After Hours With Josh Harowitz debuting his “Loki’d” skit, we died. Well, figuratively, but nonetheless we still died.
He is also caught dancing regularly and one of the most famous times was on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man.
