When Paramore announced they were finally touring again, I knew I had to be there - there was no way I was missing their return to Wembley Arena! I’ve been a fan of the band throughout my teenage years, and I was thrilled to be seeing them in concert at last.
All in all, the show was a clever mix of their new album Paramore
, interchanged with some of their older tracks. Personal highlights included "The Only Exception", which turned the 12,500 people at Wembley Arena into a sea of twinkling mobile phone lights, "Crushcrushcrush" a favourite of mine from way back in 2007, and the closing number "Still Into You." As well as this, the three interludes from the newest album, featuring Taylor York on the ukulele, were really fun little breaks in the show. You can check out the full setlist below.
I was wondering whether they would perform their older music, specifically due to the absence of the Farro brothers, but as Hayley Williams screamed – WE ARE PARAMORE – and they are Paramore songs!

Throughout every song the crowd sang, danced or jumped along, holding onto Hayley’s every word as she encouraged everyone to have a good time. As well as this, although she didn’t want to go “too emo”, she said some very inspirational things about moving on, no doubt a nod to the band’s struggles following Zac and Josh Farro’s departure, but also something that everyone in the audience could surely relate to in their own lives.
The Self-Titled Tour’s support acts also demonstrated huge amounts of talent – Eliza and The Bear got the crowd going with their jolly indie rock, and Charli XCX, best known for writing Icona Pop’s "I Love It (I Don’t Care)", and her all-girl band rocked the arena.
Hayley looked amazing, as always, and was clearly enjoying the band’s return to the stage just as much as the crowd were! If you are a fan of the band then definitely check them out live if you get the chance, you’ll love them even more!
