In addition to being a full-time dad, Prince William will be a full-time student at Cambridge University starting next month. According to Digital Spy, Kensington Palace recently confirmed that Prince William, “Has enrolled in a ten-week management course to prepare him for his future role as Duchy of Cornwall.” The Duchy of Cornwall is a “portfolio of land, property, and other investments” that is inherited by the oldest son of the reigning monarch. The Duke of Cambridge would inherit this role from his father, Prince Charles (Duke of Cornwall), if and when Charles ascends the throne. The course, run by the Cambridge Program for Sustainable Leadership (CPSL), will focus on the issues surrounding the United Kingdom’s agricultural industry and rural communities and will include approximately 20 lecture hours, seminars, and other meetings every week. The Duke of Cambridge will also be expected to attend field trips and write essays. The Duke of Cambridge, according to a Kensington Palace spokesman, is "very much looking forward to it". “The course has been designed to help provide the duke with an understanding of contemporary issues affecting agricultural business and rural communities in the United Kingdom,” said the Kensington Palace spokesman. William will live in Cambridge, leaving Kate and George in London, until he finishes the course in mid-March, but will continue to carry out some royal engagements.
