Staff Writer @taylaalaaaaNothing like some good ol’ April Fool’s Day drama, all thanks to James Franco. April 1st turned out to be quite the day for the rather hunky James Franco. The day the trailer for his new movie Palo Alto is released also happens to be the same day Franco was accused for hitting on a girl almost half his age (although still a legal age in New York). Scandal much? Now there is that small factor that it was April Fool’s Day and the ironic detail that his new movie is based on a steamy romance between an older coach and his younger student. Is this a weird and kind of perverted publicity stunt or does Franco have a naughty side to him? The 17 year old girl Lucy Clode met James outside his Broadway show Of Mice & Men and took an Instagram video, (which we all would’ve done) but Franco asked to be tagged in the video, which led to a series of texts including asking if he should, ‘rent a room’ at the hotel she was staying at. Thanks to tons of screenshots she took, everyone gets to read the messages between the two. Not that it is great reading material. If it was a publicity stunt, creepy as it may be, it got everyone talking about Franco and his movie, but if it wasn’t Franco may have some explaining to do! Hopefully Franco has learned that a simple “don’t tell” isn’t keeping his secrets locked away, but what do you think? Scandal or major publicity stunt? Sound off below!
