Queen And Michael Jackson’s Duet ‘There Must Be More To Life Than This’ Finally Premieres On Radio

Queen and Michael Jackson, two iconic musical powerhouses, recorded a duet between ’82 and ’83. Now, decades later, it has finally premiered on radio.

Music fans from all corners of the world, we’ve got a big treat for you!

It’s been known for a while that the legendary Queen had recorded a track with the equally legendary Michael Jackson back in the day, titled “There Must Be More To Life Than This”. Queen and Michael Jackson originally crafted this beauty between ’82 and ’83, and the song saw the light of day as a solo version on Freddie Mercury’s debut solo album, Mr Bad Guy.

However, that was then. Now, the time has come for the duet version to be released, as today (Sept. 19) it finally premiered on the radio!

There has been a demo making the rounds for a while now, but it does not feature quite the production of the final thing that hit the airwaves today. The version of “There Must Be More To Life Than This” that will be included in the forthcoming album, Queen Forever, was especially crafted by hitmaker William Orbit. The collaboration serves as the first offering from the record, while it was shortly previewed in 2012’s The Great Pretender, a BBC documentary for the life of Queen’s frontman.

It seems the Queen and Michael Jackson duet was meant to come out posthumously for both artists. It’s definitely a pleasure to hear the voices of both singing to us again, especially together. The tune got its debut play on Chris Evans’ BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show earlier today and will be released as part of the double disc of Queen Forever.

The album is scheduled to arrive in stores as soon as November 10th! So much excitement!

Go ahead and give the track a listen below. Do you love it as much as we do? Please tell us in the comments!
