Staff WriterQueen Elizabeth II may have just turned 88 but she’s still got it! Just ask renowned British photographer, David Bailey, whose work has graced the covers of British Vogue and has captured the most famous celebs; from style-icon Kate Moss, to rock-icons, Paul, Ringo, John, and George- otherwise known as The Beatles. Think that’s impressive? Those are just some of the names on the photographer’s star-studded resume. Recently, Bailey had the honor of photographing her highness, Queen Elizabeth II for her birthday. Taken at Buckingham Palace in March, the black-and-white photograph displays Queen Elizabeth II draped in pearls, showing off her “mischievous glint,” as Bailey put it, with a huge, royal smile. “I’ve always liked strong women, and she is a very strong woman.” Bailey said on photographing the queen. He also didn’t fail to mention that he was a “huge fan.” This photo is a part of the “Great” campaign in which the British government hopes to promote tourism in education of their long line of royal heritage that continues to command tremendous popularity to this day. If you ask me, the photo speaks for itself. What do you think PopWrappers? Did Bailey do a good job at portraying the Queen’s beauty? Let us know below!
