The Queen will ever reign.
JK Rowling, or The Queen as us Potter fans like to call her, has yet again established her place in our hearts through our giggle receptors.
Rowling has been tweeting more often about social justice issues, such as missing children and equality. She has retweeted others’ opinions of Mike Brown and Shaku Bayoh. She even has her own charity, Lumos, which helps children around the world have a great family life regardless of hardships of money, disability, or ethnic minority.
Tweeting her support of Ireland’s new gay marriage law, Rowling wrote:
Sitting here watching the Irish make history. Extraordinary and wonderful.

She then posted a hilarious picture of the Conspiracy Keanu meme and commented, “Then they could get married IN IRELAND!”

Westboro Baptist Church, an establishment who calls themselves Christians while they spread hate, immediately responded with a threat to picket the fictional marriage. (Which, I’m pretty sure, is NOT what Jesus would do.) The Queen gracefully replied,
.@WBCsigns Alas, the sheer awesomeness of such a union in such a place would blow your tiny bigoted minds out of your thick sloping skulls.

A fan, Laura (@livehead16), commented that Rowling shouldn’t give them any attention. Rowling offered, “I don’t care about WBC. I think it’s important that scared gay kids who aren’t out yet see hate speech challenged.”
Long live the Queen.
