Staff WriterWhen the Grammys broadcast was cut short just a few weeks ago, audiences were left without a final performance, and the musicians involved felt cheated. Among those musicians was Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, who used the band’s latest performance to emotionally vent about the snub. QOTSA also lost the Grammy award for “Best Rock Performance” to Imagine Dragons, making the 2014 Ceremony a bit of a blow all round for the band. According to Rolling Stone, Homme took the opportunity to share some choice words about the experience to the audience at Houston’s Bayou Music Center last Sunday. "This next song is by Imagine Dragons," he said, prompting taunting from the audience. "Just f--king kidding." "Wait, wait, wait, you've got to admit, you're all imagining dragons right now," he said. "You know, f--k everything, f--k the man, f--k Imagine Dragons, f--k the Grammys, f--k all this shit. "We're supposed to be here with you, we ain't supposed to be, like with some, like the band's dick in our hands," he added. Then, rethinking his statement, added, "Although there ain't nothing wrong with it." Artists who lost that precious airtime along with QOTSA included Nine Inch Nails, Dave Grohl, and Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsay Buckingham. Nine Inch Nails member Trent Reznor shared Homme’s view on the ordeal and tweeted “a heartfelt F—K YOU” to the Grammys. Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich offered an explanation for the snub: "I'm sorry he was upset," he said. "I was really thrilled we were finally getting him on the Grammys. I did tell them we’d take it as long as we could. The number was about five, six minutes long, and we got to within a minute twenty of the end. We got as close as we could possibly get."
