Rashida Jones can do no wrong.
The multi-talented actress recently produced a documentary, which received critical acclaim at Sundance and has now been acquired by Netflix.
The film is called Hot Girls Wanted, and touches on a subject that few have yet to venture into.
Directed by Jill Bauer and Ronna Gradus, who had help from the Kinsey Institute for Sex Research, the film explores the exploitative manner of the amateur porn industry and how it affects women who are involved.
Jones states: “Netflix is the perfect platform for us; not only do they understand this film but they are the perfect platform to reach many people who need to see it.”
She further states: “Netflix shares our passion for sharing a story that no one wants to talk about, but needs to be discussed.”
For her part, Rashida Jones is an extremely busy woman. You can catch her movie Celeste and Jesse Forever on Netflix (which she wrote and which also stars Andy Samberg), will star in Steve Carrell’s TBS Comedy Angie Tribeca and is returning to her role as Ann Perkins, wonderful nurse and best friend of Leslie Knope, in Parks and Recreation’s final season.
Go Rashida!
Hot Girls Wanted will stream on Netflix later this year, so mark it on your calendars, folks.
