Did you see that vision? That's So Raven is coming back!
Raven-Symoné revealed on The View that she has been working with Disney Channel to bring back the series as a spin-off. That's So Raven aired from 2003 to 2007, so it's almost been a decade!
While she hasn't been able to confirm if any of the previous cast members were coming back, she did say that she will be coming back portraying her character, Raven Baxter, once again.
In the spin-off, Raven is now a single mom raising two children. When she finds out that one of her children also psychic powers, she decided to help guide them in trying to control and find out the visions that they are having.
Raven-Symoné also revealed that, due to the amount of time that will be put into the project, both as executive producer and starring in the show and being required to relocate to Los Angeles, she will be leaving The View before the end of the year. Symoné has recently been appearing on The View approximately once a week, hinting at a departure.
This will be the second sequel series that Disney Channel has produced after the success of Girl Meets World, the sequel to Boy Meets World, which is currently in its third season. This will also be the second spin-off series for That's So Raven, after Cory In the House, which ended in 2008 after two seasons.
Symoné also announced that there will be a nationwide search to find who will be playing Raven's children on the show. Despite the fact that there are no other confirmations on who else will be returning, she hopes other cast members do return in order to help bring up a new generation of actors.
The View held a reunion of some of the main cast members last year. Orlando Brown, Kyle Massey, and Anneliese van der Pol were among those who returned for the special, but there was no mention of any spin-off plans.
There is currently no set air date, but it will most likely air sometime next year.
