Rebel Kicks unleash new single “We Should Go Missing”

“…a metaphor for daydreaming of escape, which we think a lot of people can relate to…”

NYC based duo Rebel Kicks – brothers Anthony and Steven Babino – first made their mark on the music scene back in 2018. Since then, they’ve released a slew of singles as well as a full-length album, and won over audiences with their riveting live shows. Today, PopWrapped are delighted to premiere their latest single, the upbeat and infectious alt-pop track “We Should Go Missing.”

The song was inspired by the isolation experienced during the pandemic and the way in which the two were able to find solace. The duo say that the track is: “…a metaphor for daydreaming of escape, which we think a lot of people can relate to in these dark times that we’ve been living through. Ultimately, it’s about finding that inner tranquillity we all seek, freeing your mind from the daily stresses and anxieties that we all deal with.”

Through looking inward and turning to meditation and creativity, Rebel Kicks found a way to deal with their own troubles. They hope their new single “We Should Go Missing” will be a cathartic and positive message for fans and listeners around the globe. Sonically, the single is equally warm with vivid soaring synths, steady bass heavy beats and bright guitar riffs for a jubilant slice of pop rock. The highlight of the track though is the attention grabbing and cinematic chorus that just calls for anyone who hears it to sing along to at the top of their voice.
