Minnesotan Beatles fans had a lot to be excited about when the new Midwest Music Museum opened its doors this Thursday (June 5).
Why? Its feature exhibit centers around the British Invasion, as headed by Paul, John, George, and Ringo!
The exhibition tour is appealingly entitled Ladies and Gentlemen, the Beatles, after the famous phrase uttered out of Ed Sullivan’s lips on that fateful day in 1964. The entire place is deservedly dedicated to the Fab Four, and specifically during the era between ’64 and ’66 where they performed in the States, and were arguably at their prime, with the release of Rubber Soul.
The exhibit is actually just the first of three music-centric phases of a new fourth-floor entertainment complex at the Mall of America. The other complexes include a restaurant and a club featuring live music.
While no dates have been announced for their opening, Denny Laine of Paul McCartney’s Wings is scheduled to play at the club on August 1.
