It’s The Reunion You’ve Been Waiting For This Week On ‘Revenge’

David is back, but his reunion with his family is a bittersweet affair. Read on to find out who is still “dead,” who’s fooling everyone, and what’s next!

Season 4, Episode 4 – “Meteor”

It happened.

Emily knows David is ALIVE.

Can’t really tip-toe around the biggest whopper of the series thus far, and it’s pretty difficult to really discuss anything else that this episode detailed. So allow yours truly to leave all of that to the SOME NOTES section, because it doesn’t really matter, does it?

Watching Emily lay eyes on her father for the first time in 20 years was a game changing moment for the series, and actress Emily Van Camp has NEVER been better. The tears felt genuine, and the emotion was spot on. We’ve watched this woman grow up in front of our eyes over the years, from “Everwood”, to Brothers & Sisters”. She shattered all of my expectations with this episode. Absolutely gut-wrenching and powerful.

Honorable mention goes to Jack (Nick Wechsler) when he laid eyes on David, because it was a perfect combination of happiness, terror, and shock.

Many will ask the question:

Where does the series go from here?

With Emily not getting alone time with her father, and him seemingly thinking she is still dead (guess he didn’t recognize her while she was sleeping), Victoria swept in with Charlotte by her side, and the newly reunited family stood tall at the conclusion of the episode.  The glares between Vicky and Emily should give the series some traction for the remainder of this season, but how long will we have to wait until David learns his lover is deceiving him?

There are many routes the series could go now, with Victoria keeping David from really seeing Emily or the latter figuring out a way to bring down her arch rival and sister in a bid to truly reunite with her father.

And how will David fit into both ladies’ schemes? Will he want to finally take down Emily Thorne for coming after his other family?

I don’t know about you guys, but this this season has been an absolute rollercoaster of a ride, and this episode is probably one of the series BEST. The acting, writing, added with everything else truly made it a magical night of television.

I really don’t have any words you guys. This was beyond incredible and I have to give props to the writers. Everything was delivered with suspense, impeccable acting, and whopper after whopper.

Who else is counting down the seconds until David learns Emily is Amanda?

Guess we should discuss everything else that happened, right?

SOME NOTES:

1. This woman with Daniel is grating my nerves. The storyline is useless and is complete filler. What do you guys think of it?

2. Anyone else maybe…..kind of…..starting to get on board with Daniel and Margaux? No? Just me?

Fine then.

3. Someone needs to slap Charlotte. HARD.

4. More David bits: That scene in the interrogation room was quite interesting. He was obviously faking his surprise at the mention of Conrad’s death, because we wall watched him stab him. His relief over discovering he had been cleared of all charges regarding flight 197 was also very suspect. There is a level of David that I’m still not trusting, and I don’t believe we know everything yet.

5. Once again, Emily Van Camp was OUT OF THIS WORLD amazing. Seriously, THE BEST.
