It's been two years since Rihanna last released a studio album, 2012's Unapologetic. The songstress is currently working on its follow-up and recently hinted that it was coming "very soon", but she has now given away something to keep the fans calm until she's ready. Last night, a radio station promised the Navy that there would be some news about Rihanna's upcoming project, commonly referred to as #R8. The songstress first took to her Twitter to make public that any kind of official information regarding the release would be coming straight from her, implying that it was nothing but a false alarm. Being aware of her fans' anticipation for new music though, she later took to instagram to share a seconds-long clip of hers in the studio. It's not like you can hear much, but considering how long it's been since we last heard a proper, new Rihanna track, it does its work for now! The accompanying caption of her instagram post reads "phuckin roun in da studio", but she seems to be nothing but "phickin" around! It's too early to judge and the clip is most probably too short to do so as well, but the melody sounds like an experimental kind of R&B. Reportedly, it's produced by DJ Mustard and Mike Will Made It. If anything's for sure, it's the phrase "Ain't none of this shit promised, ain't none of this promised" is the key of this snippet. What are you waiting for? Check out the clip for yourself and be prepared for Rihanna's glorious comeback!
