Help make Robbie and Stephen Amell's Code 8 dreams a reality...

Robbie Amell, who you probably know from The Flash, The DUFF, and The X-Files reboot, wants to make a feature film with his "much older cousin" Stephen. Stephen Amell is well known for playing Oliver Queen on CW's Arrow and Casey Jones in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel coming out this summer. The film titled Code 8 is currently seeking funding on IndieGoGo and is well on it's way to  being funded.

Robbie starred in a short film that teases the concept of the feature. Code 8 is set in a sci-fi future where a portion of the population has special abilities. These "specials" are rejected by society and live in poverty.  Code 8 is written by Chris Paré and directed by Jeff Chan.

Now that you've watched the short, you'll notice Stephen was nowhere to be seen. That was due to his busy shooting schedule at the time, but he promises to be in the feature film. The short was a great demonstration of the quality special and practical effects to expect from the feature.

The scene when Taylor (Robbie Amell) arrives on the job site and all the powers are shown in action was spectacular. The police robots that drop in from a drone to secure the suspects provide another great shot showing the future world of Lincoln City that Code 8 is set in. Aside from entertaining action, like all good science fiction Code 8 is commenting on issues facing society today (such as discrimination) and can serve as a warning.

There are plenty of awesome rewards for pledging support to the project, ranging from hoodies to premiere tickets to goodies from other projects the Amells star in. You can even go go-karting with Robbie and co-star Sung Kang. As of writing this, the project is 80% funded in less than a day. Make sure you check out their campaign page and get some rewards while you still can!
