Get ready, Rockstar Games fans. It looks like Grand Theft Auto 6 is in the works, Rockstar has confirmed.

This will follow up to the successful Grand Theft Auto 5 game, one that had such an impressive story line and made the sandbox game something more than it already was.

In GTA V, players could play as either Michael, Franklin or Trevor, and there were plenty of missions all put together in an interesting plot line that we had not seen before.

GTA V had a huge amount of hype and success, so much in fact that many questioned if there would be an even bigger or better follow-up to the video game.

The franchise has come a long way since its humble beginnings, which featured characters like Claude and Tommy Vercetti. The graphics are more realistic, the online universe is endless, and you can do practically whatever you want.

According to new reports, Rockstar has over "45 years worth of ideas" for GTA 6, and the company is already working on the next installment.

"We've got some ideas. It comes from the idea first," Rockstar games president Leslie Benzies said. "Then that defines the missions. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in."

Many are calling on Rockstar to improve some things for GTA V, such as having the PC version improved. Maybe there will even be a Mac version to come, but that's not looking likely or speculated right now.

As leaks, rumors and more news breaks on the long-awaited sixth installment of the most popular sandbox game on the planet, the expected release date is being said to be around 2017. Don't worry, GTA fans, we can always continue exploring Los Santos and Vice City while we wait.
