Brian Benben is known for his role as Dr. Sheldon Wallace on ABC’s drama and Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, Private Practice. With the television series coming to an end last year, it’s been a while since we last heard of him…until now. The actor has landed a guest role on the network’s drama, Scandal; which, incidentally, comes from Shonda Rhimes, the mastermind behind Grey’s and Private Practice.
Reportedly, Benben has already booked his guest appearance on Rhimes’ political thriller. The former on-screen doctor is scheduled to appear in an episode of the series’ upcoming fourth season, sometime in October.
However, he is not going to be the first from the cast of Private Practice to guest star on Scandal, as Katie Lowes, Jeff Perry, Kate Burton, Bellamy Young and Darby Stanachfield have all done so already.
The fourth season of the show will not only see Benben making a cameo, but also Mary Mouser replacing Madeline Carroll in the role of the US first daughter.
For Scandal‘s return, tune in to ABC on September 25.
