Monty Oum, an animator for Rooster Teeth, has passed away at 33. He was hospitalized over the weekend for a severe allergic reaction during a medical procedure, which resulted in a coma.
Oum was the creator, writer and producer of the anime series RWBY, which resulted in two seasons. RWBY is an American animated web series, its title an acronym for the four characters: Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang. If you are interested in seeing RWBY, Rooster Teeth just announced it is on Netflix now. We take today (Feb. 3) to remember a great man, who touched so many people. RIP Monty Oum.
We will not be releasing any videos today. Please take today to remember Monty. Thank you for your support & love during this difficult time
