After a Twitter rant over Thanksgiving weekend, it seems Roseanne Barr might not be going back to primetime after all. NBC tapped Barr to develop and star in a new sitcom which, was to be co-written with Linda Wallem. But, in a session of Tweets over Thanksgiving, she made it clear that she’s not too keen with the project. She said, “I’m never going to work in television again. I’m never going to even attempt it.” Even though she didn’t directly call out Wallem, Barr wrote against a female showrunner who disappeared for seven weeks and returned to hand in a script she didn’t like. The following is a series of Tweets from Barr’s official Twitter page: On top of that, Barr turned her attention towards Anderson Cooper, labelling him “a toad” and even slammed Roseanne showrunner Matt Williams, with whom she sparred on the set of her hit ABC sitcom. “Every word I turned in to nbc and nbc studios was censored and thrown out – they wanted ‘my brand’ w/o me in it. Worse than matt w.” “When I was told that no star gets to write their own show, I asked, ‘Who writes Tina Fey’s show, then?” She has since deleted some of the Tweets and ended the rant by declaring to Hollywood, “I am done being mentally tortured – I quit.” Today, however, she Tweeted:
