An Evening At The Theater With RuPaul’s Drag Race In Episode 3

RuPaul’s Drag Race delivers 3rd episode of the stellar 7th season with the remaining queens taking on a Shakespeare challenge.

Allow me to welcome you all to:

SHAKESQUEER.

Last night’s 3rd episode of the already stellar 7th season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” was not only the best episode yet, it was also one of yours truly’s favorite episodes EVER.

The remaining queens took part in a mini challenge that would have them giving us their best Golden Girl realness, and as you can imagine?

The results were HILARIOUS!

The two winning queens, Max and Kennedy Davenport, were then instructed to create their teams, and each would be acting out a Shakespeare play……drag queen style.

Okay, so of course once again Violet wound up being picked last and truthfully that shouldn’t come as a complete shock. Violet’s attitude towards the others queens is really starting to wear the rest of them down, and Violet needs to be careful.

And now for the challenge.

While Max’s team managed to really pull it off during the first run through (with Ru and Michelle Visage guiding them), the second group?

DISASTER.

Leader Kennedy had no hold on the group, and various members bombed all of their lines. Pearl was called out for being too stiff and boring, while Jasmine Master kept flubbing the lines. Ru called them all out, calling the performance the worst car wreck in 7 seasons of the show.

OUCH!!!

Let’s be real:

We were all cringing throughout the performance right?

That’s what I thought.

Following the horror show, the queens were then told to put their best beard forward, and take to the runway in gorgeous looks, accompanied by a full on beard.

Which queen had the best runway look?

Yours truly believed that while Max, Pearl, Violet and Miss Fame all looked amazing, it was Katya’s take on Abraham Lincoln to really won. The show really took an interesting turn

TUMBLR TUMBLR

After 7 seasons of the hit show, we’ve never really seen our legendary, beloved hostess RuPaul really take the queens to task…..

Until last night.

Following the viewing of the two teams’ acting performances, it was evident which team was in danger, and that was Team Kennedy Davenport. Ru declared Max the winner of the challenge, while the entire other team was up for elimination. When Ru, Michelle, Carson and the guest judges (“2 Broke Girls” star Kat Dennings and Spice Girl Melanie Brown) began to get frustrated with Kennedy’s and Jasmine’s constant excuses for why they did so poorly, Ru lashed out.

The queens were shocked by Ru laying down the law (and having her Tyra Banks moment), shouting at them “I’m sick of your goddamn excuses” and telling them to “BRING IT” no matter what. Katya, Kandy and Violet were all declared safe, while Pearl just squeezed through after getting told by Ru that she needed to “Wake up” and really start to take this serious.

Check out Ru taking the queens to task below:

It was then down to the lip sync, between team leader Kennedy Davenport and Jasmine Masters.

After a stellar performance from both queens set to “I Was Gonna Cancel” by Australian goddess Kylie Minogue, Jasmine was sent packing.
