RWBY RECP: Black Trailer | RWBY

Hola, bonjour, ciao. It is I, S.A.B. Back with another installment of RWBY RECP.

The Black Trailer opens with Blake Belladonna sitting on a boulder, gazing up at the sky as red leaves fall all about her. A man approaches her and says, "Blake...it's time." She turns to face him and replies with a simple "Okay."

The red-haired man, Adam Taurus, and Blake run at ridiculous speeds through the forest to the cliffside, where they overlook a train passing below them. They jump onto it and infiltrate it, breaking in to steal the vast amounts of dust on it. It's a Schnee Company dust transport train.

Inside, they're confronted by automated robot sentries that they fight, showing off their abilities and teamwork. Blake's weapon is Gambol Shroud, a "variant ballistic chain-scythe." Yeah. Sounds awesome.

As they fight and advance along the train cars, Adam tells Blake to move up to the next car as he prepares to set the charges. Blake asks, "What about the crew members?" to which Adam responds, "What about them?" It's already apparent that Blake is more empathetic than Adam, who seemingly only cares about getting the job done.

Before Blake can reply, they are interrupted by a giant spider-like robot that proves to be a hugely difficult challenge. It blasts them out of the car into the open air, and Blake tries to stall it while Adam builds up his power. When the spider machine fires a huge beam at them, Adam unsheathes a part of his sword and absorbs the energy. The spider robot subsequently tries to jump on him, only for Adam to release the energy in the sword in a single swing, obliterating the robot.

Adam then turns to run and join Blake at the last car, only to see her standing there with all the dust. He pauses, and she says "Goodbye," before cutting that car loose from the rest. As the cars gain distance and Blake fades into the distance, Adam watches her leave.

What do you think Blake's motivation for betraying Adam was? Keep on watching to find out!
