I am back! …For a little while. School is starting up on Monday, so I may instead abandon it altogether and go fight Baba Yaga again.

In “The Emerald Forest,” Yang is looking for anyone, but comes across a couple of ursas. She easily avoids their attacks, playing around with them until one of them manages to slice off a few strands of her hair.

Anyone who watched the Yellow Trailer knows that that’s a bad idea. Junior found out the hard way.

Getting pissed off and going super saiyan, red eyes and all, Yang beats the shit out of one ursa 

and scares off the next. Before she can do anything, though, the ursa

 drops dead, revealing Blake behind it. Turns out Yang and Blake are now partners for the next four years at Beacon Academy, the same way Ruby and Weiss, as well as Pyrrha andd Jaune 

are, not to mention Ren and Nora.

Weiss is seen planning to fight a handful of ursas 

surrounding her and mentally recites her training, but before she can kill the ursa, 

Ruby appears out of nowhere and slices it, causing Weiss to fumble in her lunge, setting the forest ablaze. They bicker before heading off deeper into the forest.

Pyrrha and Jaune are traversing the forest as well, and Pyrrha pushes back a branch, letting it go as she passes, unwittingly hitting Jaune in the face and slashing his cheek. She apologizes, before asking why he didn’t activate his aura. Jaune, confused, pretends he knows what aura is when Pyrrha asks him if he does, and asks if she knows what it is.

Pyrrha then explains that auras are the manifestation of one’s soul, used as an outward force to protect themselves from harm. All their weapons are conduits for aura

. As she explains it, the screen juxtaposes her explanation with Ren utilizing it against two giant snakes, King Taijitus.  Using her aura, Pyrrha unlocks Jaune’s, which allows him to heal really quickly, the scratching fading in seconds. She notes he has a lot of aura.

Ren then encounters Nora, who boops him on the nose after she makes a sound and he says he still doesn’t think that’s what sloths sound like.

Aren’t they just adorable?
