It’s been known for a while that a live-action remake of Disney’s classic animation film, Beauty And The Beast, is in the works. With Emma Watson already cast as Belle, the company might just have found the other main starof the film and is looking to craft a deal.

The upcoming Beauty And The Beast film is going to take the well-known tale and turn it into a musical. Currently, the cast is being completed and even though no official release date has been announced, production is set to kick off this year. According to new sources, Disney is eyeing Ryan Gosling to play the Beast alongside Watson and an offer has already been made. Reportedly, he is their very first choice for the part.

Beauty And The Beast will be directed by Bill Condon, with Mandeville Films’ David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman on production duties. As they are already announcing casting news, it’s only safe to assume we’ll find out if Ryan Gosling accepted Disney’s offer soon.
