For movie fans, or just entertainment fans in general, there's nothing like a good Easter egg.
Usually when people talk about these, they're not talking about the ones kids search for in the grass on Easter Sunday.
Easter eggs are subtle, hidden references in various media, such as video games, DVD menus, movies, etc.
For fans of Deadpool, however, there's no surprise when everyone's favorite mercenary punches through the fourth wall or makes a reference to something in pop culture.
Luckily, Ryan Reynolds, who will be playing Wade Wilson aka Deadpool, shared during a promotion for his new movie "Self/less" that fans will definitely be getting a good amount of Easter eggs from their favorite antihero.
"It's a character that knows he's in a comic book," Reynolds said of Deadpool. "He's not only incredibly pop culture relevant, but savvy. To me it feels like we're making not just a comic book movie, but a historical record that can capture the zeitgeist as it is right now in film."
Reynolds did not give any other details about the film's plot or if there will be a particular reference to a certain X-Men Origins incarnation of the "Merc with a Mouth", but he did assure that people, both Deadpool savvy and uniformed, will definitely be happy with the end result.
Deadpool will premiere in theaters on February 5, 2016.
