It’s a New Year, and a new era! Singer-Songwriter, Sam MacPherson has steadily been releasing impactful, relatable music, that honestly tugs at our heart strings. McPherson just took it to the next level with his latest single, “Forget I Exist”.
Teasing the track on TikTok over the last few months, the new single has already gained an incredible amount of attention, including ours. Not that it takes social media for us to be in the loop with Sam, but seeing the constant flow of TikTok’s reminding us it was on the way, left us ECSTATIC to finally be able to check out the full track.
In October, we talked to McPherson about his latest EP, ‘Songs For Sam”. It felt like I accomplished what I set out to do. Tell the story, and really, just tell the story. I think a lot of times it’s easier to be clever than it is to be real. I wanted these songs to feel as real as the emotion behind them. Playing them back I do think I did justice to the feelings I was trying to communicate. – McPherson told PopWrapped.
“I am already working on what comes next and I am really excited about it. There will be no shortage of songs that you hear from me in the near future. Maybe I will take some time off at the end of next year to live life again but for now I’m really enjoying keeping my head down and working.” -he added.
Now we are getting a little taste of what he was talking about. “Forget I Exist” is beyond what we consider pop perfection. The new track from McPherson shows an additional side to his vulnerability that he has shared in the past. “Forget I Exist” is a a piece of art that a lot of people can relate to – something that we really appreciate.

In all fan-girling aside, Sam MacPherson is the epitome of an artist. With each release, he gives us even more reason to look forward to what is next. Each release, you can hear (and feel) the emotion, the vulnerability, the PASSION and the heart that he has as an artist.
