ABC has released a new promo of tonight's sophomore episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
that possibly hints at a Samuel L. Jackson appearance, according to Digital Spy
The promo teases viewers with a ton of action sequences complied into a 20 second advertisement. If you blink, you might just miss brief shots of what appears to be Captain America's shield and Thor's hammer.
“Over 16 million people made it the biggest drama premiere in four years,” announces the narrator. “Don't risk the spoilers. Stay till the very end.”
Clark Gregg, who reprises his role as Phil Coulson on the show, has also suggested that viewers should stay tuned for the entire 60 minute duration of the episode. On Sunday, he tweeted: “Just finished setting my dvd to record episode #2 of #agentsofSHIELD. All of it. Credits and all.”
Samuel L. Jackson, who played Nick Fury in the Marvel films, has previously stated that he's open to making an appearance on Joss Whedon's Avengers
spin-off. “Disney, Marvel, we'll see what they think,” he told Vulture. “It would legitimize the show in another way.”
A cameo appearance on the show isn't far from impossible for the actor. His fellow Avengers
co-star Cobie Smulders also returned to her role as agent Maria Hill for a cameo appearance in last week's pilot episode.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
returns tonight with the oddly titled episode, “0-8-4.” Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. agents will travel to Peru to investigate an object of unknown origin, known by the codename of 0-8-4. When Coulson runs into Comandante Camilla Reyes (guest star Leonor Varela), “more than just sparks fly at 30,000 feet,” according to the official synopsis.
Whether the rumoured cameo is indeed Nick Fury or not, we'll soon find out. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
returns tonight on ABC at 8/7c. In the meantime, check out the new promo below! Your guess is as good as ours!
