America’s everlasting sweetheart and Britain’s lead in alternative rock have gone their separate ways.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin kept under the radar for most of their 4 month relationship, but it’s been confirmed that they have split. Jennifer and Chris apparently became a couple back in June, only a few months after J-Law split from Nicholas Hoult. Chris Martin split with his wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, back in March after 10 years of marriage.

Jennifer was interviewed in Vanity Fair and stated that when it comes to relationships, she’s looking for both peace and an addiction to reality TV:

“Basically, what I’m saying is all I need in a relationship is somebody to watch TV with me.”

She also emphasized her extreme dislike of argumentative people:

“I don’t like fighting, and I find argumentative people the most annoying people on the planet. Like, why do you still want to be fighting? It’s just unattractive.”

I adore both Jennifer and Chris, so this is sad to hear. Hopefully these two amazing, kindhearted and talented individuals bounce back quickly from this!
