Though Glee wasn’t nominated for any awards in tonight’s Golden Globes, star Lea Michele and her fans have their own reason to celebrate. Tonight Billboard debuted the songstress’ non-single title track “Louder” from her upcoming album. Speaking to Billboard, Michele has spoken of what she wants people to take away from the song and the album: “Be loud, be bold, be yourself, whether or not people understand that message. That's what I think of when I think of the song and album." “Louder” was one of the last tracks written for her debut album. She described the song as one she can “play in my car with the windows down. But at the same time, I feel like it shows off my voice as a singer, which is really important to me, because that's what I do. I want to make sure that every song on my record is fun and enjoyable, but also, you hear my voice in them." Michele started working on the much-anticipated album almost a year and a half ago and with the release date looming, she says that it “finally feels real”. She’s also able to joke about the time it took to come to fruition: "I really feel like, for such a long time, people were so sick of me, and were like, 'Yeah right, when is this album you're talking about actually going to happen?' Now that it's really coming out, it's unbelievable. I've been playing these songs for my friends and family for a year now, and now that everyone's going to get to hear the songs. I'm like, 'Holy shit! People are going to actually listen to this!'" And listen to it, well the tracks released so far, they have in their droves. The first single from the album, “Cannonball” blasted onto the Top 40 when it was released last month. Then the video of the track, which was only released last Thursday (January 9), has already notched up almost 2.4 million views on YouTube. You can purchase “Louder” on iTunes from Tuesday (January 14).
