The upcoming FOX horror/comedy series Scream Queens has unveiled a first look at the super-sized opening credits for the series, created by Ryan Murphy.

Scream Queens is less than a month away!

The new Ryan Murphy horror/comedy is gearing up to air soon, and we can now watch the glorious opening credits for Scream Queens! Ryan Murphy tweeted the super-sized opening credits that is nearly two minutes long and manages to show off the overall mood of the series. We see many of our leading Scream Queens giving their best shriek of terror while the Red Devil costumed killer stalks them with a dark backdrop. Skyler Samuels is shown to be surrounded by fire, Lea Michele shares a distinctive scream, and a KKT sorority  photo burns to remind us of the high death toll Scream Queens promises. We get to see some of the comedic aspects of Scream Queens with the characters managing a pose with the killer, none better than Glen Powell and Diego Boneta. The opening  also pays credit to 80’s horror films like Nightmare On Elm Street with scenes recreated, and the theme featured.

After getting the opportunity to watch the Scream Queens premiere at SDCC, I can confirm that this series promises to make you laugh while worrying for the fate of the eclectic group of quirky characters. Although it is primarily a comedic series, Murphy has already stated that only 4 of the 25 cast members will survive to make the cut for season 2, and i’m already wondering who the lucky few could be. Are you getting excited for Murphy’s Scream Queens?

Scream Queens will air its two-hour premiere on Tuesday September 22nd, on FOX. Make sure you don’t miss this one, there’s something for all different genre fans to enjoy!
