Two of the big names at this year's SDCC are the saved victims from Fox, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Lucifer. SDCC brought us news for both!

Let’s start with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the show’s cast dropped into SDCC after being saved from cancelation by NBC. They hosted a panel where we got some details about what comes next for the Andy Samberg led comedy. One of the biggest topics during the panel was the character Rosa Diaz coming out as bisexual. The character is played by Stephanie Beatriz, who is also bi, and the cast and creators put a lot of emphasis on the importance of her role, especially in today’s climate. We didn’t get an official release date for the next season, just that it would happen in 2019, and it will include thirteen episodes.

Other tidbits we picked up from SDCC’s panel include, first of all, the love and excitement of the cast. Andy Samberg raced out, followed by Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews jumping up yelling “I love you guys!”, and Stephanie Beatriz, who we all love. The crowd greeted the cast with a rousing ‘Nine Nine!’ which will warm even the darkest hearts. Take a look.

Following our news about Brooklyn Nine-Nine, another Fox cancelation hopped into SDCC to share in their own hype to come back with Netflix. We're talking about Lucifer and his deeply devoted fan base, the Lucifans

We’ve been doing our best to keep you guys up to pace with Lucifer news, but we have more. Tom Ellis sat down with TV Line and discussed the show’s future, including the possibility of a naughtier Lucifer on Netflix. Ellis began the interview discussing the show’s drop and it is heartbreaking to see him speaking on this topic. Then they discussed the social media campaign to bring the show back which ended up helping to bring the show back with Netflix.

Ellis didn’t share too much on the story, but he did share that the show will be picking up right where season 3 left off, no time lapse. The future of Lucifer and Chloe (Lauren German), after the devilish reveal, will weigh heavily on both parties leading us to believe they won’t have a quick Deckstar reunion. Finally, they spoke on the bonus episodes and how they fit into the overall Lucifer feel, but details couldn’t be revealed because the mysteries are not just for us, but the cast too. Look at the video below.
