Color me extremely impressed.
When one thinks of pop star Selena Gomez, many would begin to think of her on/off relationship with Justin Bieber. Maybe you think of her catchy pop gems like "Come & Get It".
However, right now, all I can think of is what the young lady could be possibly going through emotionally in her life.
Selena just debuted her new single "The Heart Wants What It Wants", which will be the lead single off of her upcoming greatest hits compilation "For You", due out November 24th.
The 22-year-old also shared a video for the track, which finds Selena speaking out at the beginning, before breaking down in tears during the video.
Powerful. Heartbreaking. And the song is absolutely gorgeous.
Check it out below:
Of course, there is a ton of speculation that the track is indeed about Justin, and Selena confirmed the news herself while speaking with Ryan Seacrest:
“I think the biggest problem I had this year, even with [Justin], is identity…I was trying to figure out what I’m doing. It was the first time I was constantly being kicked down,”
“I made some decisions that weren’t great. So did he. We went through that to only make us better."
“He has seen the video. It’s something I’m willing to share with people. He thought it was beautiful.”
“I support him. I think I always will. I’m upset when he’s upset. I’m happy when he’s happy. I don’t want anything bad to ever to happen to him. It hurts me. That’s all.”
