Sentai Filmworks is set to release the hilarious romantic-comedy Monthly Girls’ Nozaki kun next month, and as we await the heavenly release Sentai has begun teasing the anime’s English dub-cast by releasing clips that unveil the previously announced voice cast in character. Sentai has kicked off the preview by releasing a clip of Scott Gibbs as the lovable, charming and goofy Mikorin aka Mikoto Mikoshiba, who is by far the series most endearing character.

Gibbs absolutely nails Mikorin’s playboy side, but before we can hear him as the shy and easily embarrassed Mikorin, the clip abruptly and unsurprisingly cuts off. Curse you Sentai, for you have deeply wounded me! Oh well – as long as the preview clips continue being released.

Izumi Tsubaki’s Monthly Girls’ Nozaki kun is a gem of an anime that was the break-out series of 2014. With only 12 episodes, Monthly Girls’ manages to make you laugh from start to finish and by the end of the series: you can’t help but crave more content. The characters are just as delightful as every other aspect of the anime, which includes the storyline, animation and music. Yen Press holds the license to the manga series, which has a total of 7 volumes in Japan – luckily the manga is ongoing.

Sentai Filmworks describes the plot of the anime as the following:

“It’s the age-old tale: the girl’s into a guy that barely knows she exists. While all Chiyo can think about is Nozaki, all he cares about is his manga deadline looming over his head. But when Chiyo attempts to confess to Nozaki, a bit of confusion causes her to instead become his assistant! As Chiyo reluctantly agrees to lend a hand she discovers Nozaki isn’t just any manga author, he’s the famous Yumeno Sakiko who writes one of the most popular shoujo manga of all time.”

For those who simply can’t wait for the Blu-ray and DVD release, Monthly Girls’ Nozaki kun is being streamed on Crunchyroll now! Be sure to check it out – this is one series you don’t want to pass up!
