Remember Enchanted? That amazing musical film that collided the world of a Disney animated fairy tale with modern New York?
Well, if you are one of those who contributed to the 2007 movie's $340 million gross, get this: Enchanted may have a sequel soon!
According to Collider, Anne Fletcher -- known for directing the original Step Up and romantic comedy 27 Dresses -- is attached as director. Disney Studios is also tying to put together a script and has given the film a working title: Disenchanted.
There is no word yet on the plot, and it is not clear which of the members of the original cast would reprise their roles, although Amy Adams, who played the lead role in the original, has been vocal and enthusiastic about returning -- after all, her turn at Enchanted did propel her to stardom.
The rest of the cast included X-Men star James Marsden and former Grey's alumni Patrick Dempsey, who both played romantic interests. Broadway star Idina Menzel had a small supporting role but, sadly, did not get to perform a song number; hopefully, she'll come back for the sequel and correct that. Susan Sarandon, who played the villain, was, of course, killed in the end, so there is a great chance she may not come back.
