You never asked for it, but they are coming for you anyway… Sharknado 4 will be upon us once more this summer on SyFy. The horrible shark terror B films are something everyone loves to hate, and they've gained quite a cult following. The films star some of the best D-list celebrities out there; our favorites being our leading man, Ian Ziering (90210), and Tara Reid (American Pie). The fun doesn’t stop there either; the creators continue to chomp down on a nice collection of celebrities cameos as well.
Recently they announced a few more actors that will be making their first appearances in the franchise, some that we will be all too eager to see chewed in half and others maybe a bit too obscure, even for Sharknado.
First up is Gary Busey. He seems to be making his rounds having been on Dancing with the Stars last season and well known for his time on Celebrity Apprentice. He will be playing Wilford Wexler, a.k.a. April’s (Tara Reid) father, who works as a scientist for Astro-X and studies robotics.
Next we have Tommy Davison who is best known for appearing on the sketch comedy show In Living Color. He will be playing Aston Reynolds, a playboy billionaire. He is the CEO of Astro-X, a tech company which claims to have devolved a way to prevent the formation of tornadoes.
Final noteworthy casting is Cheryl Tiegs, known best for her modeling career. She will be playing Fin’s mother and apparently is a hippie AND willing to kick some shark tail. Now we know where our leading man gets it from.
Other characters announced for Sharknado 4 are Cody Linley as Fin and April’s son Matt, Imani Hakim as his best friend, and Masiela Lusha as Fin’s cousin. With a slew of new faces and our returning favorites, the newest installment promises to be just as painfully amusing as the rest.
Just when you thought it was safe to go back outside, the return of Sharknado this summer will surely bring us great amusement as we all wonder just what they could possibly think up next. Any bets on which of the new cast will live to see another sequel? Share your thoughts in the comments below and tune into Syfy for all your quirky B movie needs.
