Simon Cowell will make an appearance on X-Factor, this year, according to some reports.
The 53-year-old left the show in 2010 to concentrate on The X-Factor USA. It is reported that Cowell, will summon this years judges Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Gary Barlow to his yacht in the Mediterranean to discuss which acts will progress from Boot Camp to Judges’ Houses.
The music mogul will also be telling the judges which categories they will mentor in the show, according to The Sun. This task was previously done over the phone.
A source also said that, ‘We originally intended to do the Boot Camp scenes in Miami and we would likely have had a much bigger role, but that plan didn’t work out so it will again take place at Wembley arena next month.’
The show went through a major shake-up in 2011 with Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland replacing Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue. Sadly the changes led to a decline in ratings with 10.9 million viewers tuning in to see James Arthur win series nine, last December, while 17.2 million watched the finale the year before.
The X Factor is expected to return to ITV at the end of August.
